Overview
Sometimes, people have trouble paying for food, rent, and mortgage or have debts. Financial Counsellors can explain what your options are. This is a free, independent and confidential service available to people who are having issues around their finances.
We can work with you to:
– Understand your options and what it might mean for you.
– Negotiate payments with your creditors
– Understand if you can get government assistance
– Apply for hardship with creditors
– Understand consumer disputes
– Understand complaints processes
– Refer you to other services that may be able to help you.
Access and Referral Information
The ideal referral pathway is to call the National Debt Helpline on 1800 007 007 and be assessed by a Financial Counsellor. Alternative referral pathway is via Primary Care Connect on 5823 3200 or visit www.primarycareconnect.com.au/About/Referral-Page Please note that wait times will apply and will vary depending on your case once assessed.
